So, here's a random fact about me. I'm a former beauty queen. Oh yes, evening gown, swimsuit, the whole nine yards. I never held any big titles (not that I didn't try!), but lots of small ones. I competed from age 3-20. (The younger ones were NOT like toddlers & tiaras, so don't get the wrong idea, please!!) I loved it. I loved the competition, the anticipation, and yes.. The winning, lol.
So, on the bottom of the award list, a recommendation::
"I have an idea! If you're on this list of Sharing DD Bloggers, Consider posting a short post about what it's like to share your DD lifestyle ideas and lives with others. Use the pic above and let your readers come by and say thank you! Hopefully we might be able to nudge others along who might be considering starting a blog too!"
Of course, I'm game!
I love sharing our story to blogland. I like thinking about the readers and lurker a who I might be helping. I owe my experience with dd to the blogland community. It's how I learned everything!! I read so many blogs (and still do!). Reading about everyone else's firsthand experience with ttwd gave me the courage to bring it up to my fireman.
Then, on LOL day (love our lurkers, for anyone who is newer than me!!), I decided to comment. I wrote on Clint's Learning dd, his wife Chelsea's Knowing Your Roles, and Christina's Red Booty Woman. Those were the first 3 I ventured out to. They all made me feel welcome and I loved reading their stories.
I decided more than anything that I wanted to blog for myself. I wanted to document our journey with domestic discipline and see how it went. We didn't set an end date or trial period. My fireman just said once we started, we were going to continue.
I love seeing my comment alert and see my views go up. It means so much to me that people actually want to read what I write!!
I hope I have lurkers. Consider this a huge invite to come out and say hello! It's a great community. I haven't ran across anyone who wasn't friendly and welcoming. (I have on a forum, but that's a different story. Unfortunately people like that are everywhere).
Please feel free to comment! And start your own blog about your journey :)
Xo!

Very nice how you put that all together so well!
ReplyDeleteAnd Congratulations from the ADDS readers who love to read your blog!
Thank you!!! ;)
DeleteWe all like to share, because we know what the blogs did for us.
ReplyDeleteWe have our own share of unfriendly people, called Trolls, because they tend to unexpectedly jump on your back.
The worst kind of these are the people who want to save you, the ones who want to help poor you escape your perils. Nothing worse than a person who is specialised in knowing what somebody else is doing wrong.
I've seen some of those people on other blogs. I'm hoping they don't pop up here, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
DeleteHello
ReplyDeleteI must admit this is my first time here. I am still trying to figure out what the honour is that has been bestowed upon us by Mr. B... but if it brings me to meet new bloggers it is worth it!
